Whether your Blu-rays or DVDs are video discs or contain numerous data files including documents, audio files, and video files, you may upload or ship them. Of course uploading is the quickest way; but sometimes attorneys, corporations, law enforcement agencies and others have so many that they would rather ship them all rather than upload everything. We don't mind.

Has your DVD been scratched and can no longer be read by your computer or DVD player? We can't repair Blu-ray discs, but we do have the ability to fix DVDs and CDs so the content can be viewed, listened to, and transcribed.

You can send us any size or shape DVD or Blu-ray. There is a variety of shapes and sizes, and although they're nowhere near as common as the traditional disc, you may have come across a business card DVD or a mini Blu-ray disc. Some are even in the shape of a triangle.

We consider general transcription to be general business and media transcription as well as anything that doesn't contain a large amount of technical or industry-specific jargon. Audio Enhancement and Marginally Intelligible Speech
If you have recordings that are difficult to understand, we have audio engineers and forensic linguists who can often create a transcript with far fewer unintelligible entries then other companies. Most transcription companies have general and legal transcriptionists who may have some experience handling marginally intelligible speech, but if the audio is particularly difficult, they aren't likely to provide a transcript that meets your expectations. They listen very closely, adjust the volume and even the playback speed of the speech, and will loop a section of audio they need to listen to over and over. Apart from that, there isn't much else they can do.
Our forensic audio engineers can provide audio enhancement and noise reduction services to clean up the audio and increase the amplitude of
quiet or distant speakers. However, audio enhancement isn't always the way to go when a recording is difficult to understand. When it isn't, a forensic linguist is your best bet.
Our English- and Spanish-speaking forensic linguists have the linguistics and phonetics background necessary to conduct an in-depth analysis of your recording. They also may carry out an acoustic analysis using a spectrogram to help in the decoding process. Your standard transcriptionist will not be able to do this for you.
