Linguists and Speech & Hearing Scientists:

We are looking for people who have the above mentioned backgrounds and are interested in working with us as forensic transcription consultants and expert witnesses.

Linguists and speech & hearing scientists who are native speakers of either English or Spanish are needed.

Translators, Transcriptionists, and Proofreaders:
If you are a proofreader, translator, or transcriptionist with a background in forensics, criminal justice, law enforcement, forensic pathology, or social services and are interested in freelance opportunities with TransDual Forensics please email us with your resume attached along with any other information you think pertinent to opportunities@TransDual.com. We look for people with verifiable experience or education in the following fields:

Translation
Transcription
Interpretation
Proofreading
English
Spanish
Linguistics
Speech Science
Audiology
Audio Engineering

In addition, we are interested in translators and transcriptionists who also have a background in one or more of the following areas:

Criminal Justice
Law Enforcement
Legal Studies
Forensic Medicine/Pathology

Be sure to list any classes, certificates, certifications, degrees, etc. in the above mentioned disciplines. We highly value translators who are certified by the American Translators Association as well as many other translation organizations. We also value translators who have studied translation theory. Simply being bilingual is not a qualification. All translators must be native speakers of the target language. All proofreaders and transcriptionists must be native speakers of the language they proofread or transcribe. In addition, transcriptionists and audio/video translators must have the appropriate transcription software and hardware.

Forensic Transcription Training
