Privacy and Safeguards
At both TransDual Forensics and Audible Forensics we take confidentiality seriously. This applies to all clients whether a government agency requesting forensic work of sensitive material or a private party interested in the transfer of an audio letter from reel to reel to a digital file.
All new clients are given a user name and password that is to be used whenever uploading and downloading documents and recordings. All files are sent using 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption so you can be sure they are safe.
The only persons who will have access to your documents or recordings are those with a need. Anyone not working on your project and thus not authorized to view or hear your material will not have access.
Your digital files are stored and encrypted on a separate "Textphonic projects drive" apart from all programs, the operating system, and other files. In addition, all of our data are backed up and encrypted on an isolated hard drive without internet access to it.
Phone numbers, mailing addresses, email addresses and other client information are never sold or released to anyone. They are encrypted and stored on a "Textphonic projects drive" also. In addition, client passwords are very secure. Once the client has logged in for the first time using a temporary password, he will be asked to choose a new one. Passwords are hashed, which means that no one will be able to view or determine what the user’s password is.
If, in addition to our safeguards and privacy policy, you would like us to sign a confidentiality or non-disclosure agreement we will do so.
